If there’s one thing I love as much as watching TV shows and movies, it’s sorting the characters into Hogwarts houses. Mythic Quest, with its cast of chaotic, brilliant, and sometimes ridiculous game developers, is the perfect show to analyse through the magical lens of the wizarding world. So, grab your Sorting Hat and let’s see where the Mythic Quest gang belongs at Hogwarts!
Ian Grimm – Gryffindor
Brash, bold, and always ready to charge ahead with his next great vision (even when it makes no sense to anyone else), Ian is the quintessential Gryffindor. He thrives on risk-taking, lives for dramatic declarations, and has an undeniable charm that draws people in. Like many Gryffindors, he sometimes lets his ego get in the way, but at the end of the day, he’s fiercely loyal to his team—especially Poppy.
Poppy Li – Ravenclaw
Poppy is an undisputed genius, and there’s no better house for her than Ravenclaw. She’s analytical, creative, and thrives on problem-solving, except when her emotions (or Ian) get in the way. She approaches game development like a puzzle to be solved and has an insatiable need to prove herself. While she sometimes struggles with leadership, her innovative mind and ambition make her one of the sharpest characters in the series.
David Brittlesbee – Hufflepuff
Sweet, underestimated, and eternally struggling to be taken seriously, David is peak Hufflepuff energy. He genuinely wants to do well and make everyone happy, even when he’s being steamrolled by Ian and Poppy. While he may lack the confidence of a Gryffindor or the cunning of a Slytherin, he’s incredibly loyal and always tries to keep the peace, often to his own detriment.
Brad Bakshi – Slytherin
The whole reason behind this blog post. If there’s one character who embodies the ambitious, cunning nature of Slytherin, it’s Brad. He’s always thinking ten steps ahead, orchestrating power plays with ruthless efficiency. While he may claim that he only cares about money and dominance, deep down, he does care about the team (even if he’d rather die than admit it). His strategic mind and ability to manipulate situations to his advantage make him a textbook Slytherin.
Jo – Gryffindor (with Slytherin tendencies)
Jo’s energy is pure chaos, and while she’s cunning enough to be a Slytherin, she ultimately fits better in Gryffindor due to her reckless bravery. She charges headfirst into any situation, often with no regard for consequences. She’s not afraid to be ruthless, but her impulsive nature means she acts first and thinks later which is a true Gryffindor trait.
Dana – Hufflepuff
Dana is kind, hardworking, and full of quiet determination. Classic Hufflepuff qualities. She starts at Mythic Quest with big dreams and a willingness to put in the work, even when she’s not given the credit she deserves. She’s one of the most down-to-earth characters in the show, and while she has ambition, she approaches life with patience and dedication, making her a natural Hufflepuff.
Rachel – Gryffindor
Rachel’s passion and determination put her in Gryffindor, even if she sometimes second-guesses herself. She has strong ideals, fights for what she believes in, and isn’t afraid to challenge authority. While she can be insecure, she ultimately pushes through her doubts and stands up for herself, proving she has the heart of a Gryffindor.
Final Thoughts
Like any good Hogwarts Sorting, some of these characters have qualities that could land them in multiple houses. But at the end of the day, their defining traits make them perfect fits for these magical homes. Whether it’s Ian’s audacious Gryffindor spirit, Poppy’s Ravenclaw brilliance, or Brad’s Slytherin scheming, the Mythic Quest team would definitely bring some serious energy to Hogwarts.
