The Electric State is a visually ambitious but ultimately hollow sci-fi adventure that proves stunning visuals can’t save a film from weak storytelling. Despite a star-studded cast and the Russo brothers at the helm, the movie never quite sparks to life, stumbling under the weight of its own meandering plot and underdeveloped emotional core.

What Went Wrong:
- Wasted Potential: The film has all the ingredients for a great sci-fi epic—an intriguing premise, a rich source material, and talented actors—but somehow fails to make any of it engaging.
- Flat Characters: Even with Millie Bobby Brown leading the charge, the characters feel one-dimensional, lacking the depth needed to make us care about their journey.
- Pacing Issues: The film drags through endless stretches of exposition, only to rush through key emotional moments that should have carried more weight. I literally fell asleep 3 times trying to watch this.
- Style Over Substance: The visual effects are undeniably impressive, but when the most memorable thing about a movie is how it looks, that’s not a great sign.

Final Thoughts:
The Electric State feels like a gorgeous, expensive screensaver with a movie awkwardly attached to it. It wants to be profound and emotional, but instead, it’s just exhausting. A disappointment from start to finish.
