  Ti West’s MaXXXine, the conclusion of the X trilogy, offers vibrant visuals and a compelling performance by Mia Goth but falls short of its predecessors’ impact. Set in 1980s Los Angeles, it explores themes of fame and exploitation amid some pacing issues and less inventive horror elements. It’s entertaining yet chaotic.
