captivating elegance: 5 instrumental gems i have on my wedding playlist that you should too

If you enjoyed this post, please consider donating to mine and my fiance’s “honeymoon”/immigration fund. Even a small amount would mean the world to us.

Check out our wedding playlist for song suggestions and ideas!

While I know some brides will just trust their DJ and let them play whatever they want, this post is for the brides who might want more control over their music or for those who are doing their own music for their wedding.

Your wedding day is a symphony of emotions, and what better way to enhance its charm and elegance than with the magic of instrumental music? Instrumental tracks have a unique ability to convey feelings, set the tone, and create an atmosphere that complements every moment of your special day. In this blog post, I’m going to show you some of the instrumental music, mostly from Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte 🤭, that I’ve added to my wedding playlist that you should consider adding to yours. I’ve instructed our DJ to play them mainly while guests are waiting for the ceremony to start as well as during dinner if they’re any songs left that haven’t already been played.

I Will Always Love You – Vitamin String Quartet (Original: Whitney Houston)

While the original is not on our playlist as we feel it’s a bit too much, this instrumental interpretation pays tribute to Whitney Houston’s iconic ballad while infusing it with a classical elegance. Let the soaring strings and poignant melody create a moment of heartfelt connection, adding a touch of grandeur to your special day.

If I Ain’t Got You – Vitamin String Quartet (Original: Alicia Keys)

Again, while Jeremy and I feel the original doesn’t fit the vibe of our wedding, this instrumental version captures the essence of Alicia Keys’ heartfelt ballad while adding a classical twist. The emotive strings and elegant arrangement create a romantic atmosphere, perfect for enhancing intimate moments during your ceremony or reception.

Home – Vitamin String Quartet (Original: Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros)

Can you tell I love the Vitamin String Quartet? This song is actually my walk down the aisle song, but the charming strings and melodic arrangement makes the song perfect for the ceremony and the reception.

Wrecking Ball – The Midnite String Quartet (Original: Miley Cyrus)

This instrumental rendition reimagines Miley Cyrus’ powerful ballad with a refined and elegant orchestration. The strings convey a depth of emotion and vulnerability, creating a poignant atmosphere that’s perfect for a heartfelt moment during your ceremony or reception.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow – The Bridesmaids Quartet (Original: Judy Garland)

This instrumental rendition pays homage to Judy Garland’s iconic ballad while adding a touch of elegance and sophistication. The soothing strings and enchanting arrangement create a magical ambiance, making Somewhere Over the Rainbow a perfect choice for moments of reflection, unity, or even as background music during your reception.
